Google's proprietary Blogger platform (also known as Blogspot) enables businesses to build professional-defined web presence for free using simple content management tools. One of the many features Blogger recommends is support with blog posts with keyword tags. These tags enable posts to be grouped together and provide visitors with another way to navigate the site or search for relevant information. Most of the tag management is done automatically by the built-in Blogger platform.

Step 1

Log in to Blogger and click on the title of the blog you want to set up the tag for. If only one blog is associated with your account, you will be taken directly to that blog's dashboard.

Step 2

Click "New Post" to compose a new post. Enter a post title, enter the post body as needed, and then click to the title "Label" on the post tools on the right.

Step 3

Type individual keyword tags one after the other, entering commas after each. Existing tags already on the blog are listed below and can be added with a single click.

Step 4

Click on "Publish" option to publish the post to the blog. Blogger automatically adds keyword tags (or labels) to the blog's tag list.

Step 5

To add keyword tags to already published posts, click "Posts" and then "Edit" from the Dashboard screen. As before, tags can be added via the "Labels" section on the right. Click "Update" to confirm.

Step 6

Choose "Layout" option from the main dashboard options to see the current template. Click "Edit" in the "Blog Posts" section, then tick the box labeled "Label:" if you want to display tags next to each post. The title "Label:" can be edited as needed. Use option the "Sort Items" box below to select where tags are shown. Click "Save" to confirm.

Step 7

Click "Layout" in any section of the blog to create a tag cloud and then "Add a gadget". Select "Basic" from the list and then "Label". Use the on-screen options to configure the tag cloud as needed and click "Save" to confirm. Click "Save" to publish changes to your blog
