Tryonestep: Online classes, online meetings. The world seized by Corona has now chosen Online as its all-time companion. And Google Meet is adding one new feature after another keeping in mind the online meetings of the users. Google Meet has come up with a new feature that is a bit similar to Zoom.

From now on, users will be able to raise their hands whenever they want to talk virtually in Google Meet. For this the user has to go to the new 'Raise Hand' button of Google Meet and click. Once this button is pressed, the next time you click on the 'Lower Hand' button, the hand will go down.

This feature of Zoom Meetings, one of the competitors of Google Meet, has been around for a long time. But because Google Meet doesn't have such a convenient feature, customers are complaining. With that feature finally gone, Google Meet users are breathing a sigh of relief.

This new feature of Google Meet has no admin controls, it will work by default. This new feature of Google Meet is available for Workspace Essentials, Business Standard, Business Plus, Enterprise Essentials, Enterprise Standard, Enterprise Plus especially for G Suite Business, Education, Enterprise for Education, and Nonprofits customers. However, those who have a personal Gmail account will not be able to use this 'Raise Hand' feature for the time being.

Google says that this 'Raise Hand' feature will further increase the participation in the meeting and the employees will not even bother each other during a meeting! In a blog post, Google explains about this new feature of its Meet, saying that when a participant raises his hand, the moderator will see that 'raise hand' icon in the video preview. If the moderator is presenting from another tab, he will get a notification sound when someone raises his hand.

The moderator will see if all the meeting participants raise their hands. And accordingly he will give the participants a chance to speak one by one. And if the moderator doesn't want to give anyone a chance, you can also lower the hand of that particular participant by clicking the 'lower hand' button.
